- Note that all sexualities are fluid or basically pansexual, due to ness's own sexual mindset. All characters are at base pansexual; they could go for anyone based on personality over gender. Looks
Of average height, there's not much notable about Teriad's appearance. His strait blonde hair is kept long, usually worn back in a ponytail to keep it out of his face. His eyes are a deep green, contrasting the creamy brown tones of his skin. His body is long-limbed, covered in lithe muscle as a product of his active lifestyle. He has a tendency to have some facial scruff, because he goes a few days between shaves as a product of being a Runner.
Personality
Friendly and incredibly Informal, Teriad is interested in conducting his life towards the goals he's set for himself, none of which are considered conventional ambitions.
Teriad is a runner, and has been from a relatively young age; it suits him. He likes traveling and experiencing life, and staying in one place for too long makes him nervous. His philosophy is very much the journey over the destination, and thus being on the road constantly to deliver frequent messages is perfect for him: he's always journeying. He also enjoys the fitness required to do his job; he likes exercise and being active, and if he's cooped up too long, he gets restless and upset.
This sort of lifestyle doesn't require a lot of knowledge of formality or society or that sort of thing, so as a result he doesn't give much of a wher's tail about formality or the rules of society. He can seem uncivilized, and has no qualms about being very honest or asking for what he wants directly. He's more likely to conduct himself in the carefree attitudes of the weyr, no matter if he's at a hold, a crafthall, or traveling with people on the road— occasionally, he's even more lax then you usually find in a weyr. He's really just concerned with being himself and doing what he loves to do, which is travel, and be around people.
He loves people, and is incredibly friendly. He enjoys meeting new and different people, and is usually willing to put aside philosophical or political differences in the name of a wider humanity, and at least try to get along with everyone. He's very curious, about everything— beliefs, thoughts, experiences, places. It's part of the reason he travels, and he loves nothing more then to hear stories of other people's adventures, when he's traveling with them.
He's a great seeker of adventures— while most of being a runner is relatively tame, he dreams of having wider adventures, like the ones the harpers sing about. He mostly entertains these thoughts privately, but can occasionally be persuaded to talk about his dreams, or recount his own experiences a little more lavishly then they actually happened. He's definitely something of a daydreamer, and likes to keep his head in the clouds.
He's fond of alcohol and gambling, and usually has a deck of cards or dice on him at all times, if only to play solitaire or roll himself for amusement, when he's alone. He also carries a small stash of spirits with him at all times, and a flask on his hip, filled with some variety of hard liquor. When he's at a location, he can usually be found anywhere there's revelry, gambling, and/or liquor. He's a big purveyor of mixed drinks, and is forever combining local alcohol with local non-alcoholic beverages, to think up different combination of flavors.
History
Teriad grew up in the weyr, and otherwise had a fairly normal lifestyle for a weyrbrat: raised primarily in the lower caverns, with infrequent visits from his dragonriding father, and a fondness for the dragon. He was an independent child, with no qualms about being left on his own, and a fondness for wandering and exploring. He took teh position of Runner as soon as he was able, and hasn't really looked back since. He's a technical resident of the weyr, most likely, though he spends slightly less time there then he does other places that he regularly carries messages to.
