- Note that all sexualities are fluid or basically pansexual, due to ness's own sexual mindset. All characters are at base pansexual; they could go for anyone based on personality over gender. Some of them may lean, and have a gender preference. Some may be more bisexual. Bigenders, transgenders, and other genders may not be an issue on pern, so that aspect may not be an issue. Point: Personality over sexuality, which is why they will be listed as Pansexual with a potential lean.
Looks
Despite all of his hopes, puberty did not grant Tequavi massive height and size. He's been scrawny his whole life, and it doesn't seem to show any sign of changing now; the boy stands at about 5'6", and can't seem to gain a pound. He's thin and wirey, and takes pride in the fact that what little flesh on him is lithe muscle. Angular and pointy features make up his face, with long lips that seem to never loose their slightly-wild grin. His eyes are a disconcertingly bright green, stark against the light tan of his natural skin-tone. His hair, which is shorn messily, as if he trims it by shearing chunks off with a knife blade, is a dusty dirty-blonde color.
Personality
Wild. Oh, Faranth, this kid is wild- and not always in a good way.
Tequavi's motivation in life is to have a great, wonderful, thrilling time. He hates being bored. He absolutely despises it, and if he gets bored, he will MAKE himself unbored. And, much like the dogs who do similar, you probably won't like how he amuses himself. He can be obnoxious, or destructive, or downright malicious. The best way to prevent him from doing this is keeping him occupied, but he's too smart for this to be superficial- you can't give him busywork, because he just won't do it. And if he has to do it, because it's between him and something he really wants, he'll do it snidely, and do only what the rules require, and attempt to exploit any loophole he finds. The alternative to busywork is things that genuinely puzzle him— he will get absolutely entranced in doing these things, figuring out the holes in these puzzles. He's got a penchant for math and science, and if he'd any intention to apply himself, he'd make a wonderful smith— as it is, he can be occupied in creating these sorts of things.
He's not good at art, but he's paradoxically good with sculpture— he likes shaping clay and sticks and things into other things. He also likes cooking, especially baking for some reason.
He's not ordinarily outright malicious, in that he won't walk up to someone and start verbally tearing them apart, but he can be quite cruel. One of his pasttimes is hunting tunnelsnakes and other vermin, though he won't lay an ill-hand on any sort of domesticated creatures. He also enjoys hunting and other sorts of things, and chases and races. Anything that gets his adrenaline pumping. He really, really likes taking risks— if it's dangerous, he'll do it. Perhaps not to the level of being outright suicidal, but sometimes other people don't notice that difference.
There is a violent streak in him- he's the sort of person who would start a barfight, and if he were drunk enough, he might bring a broken bottle into the picture. And he'd do it because he was bored. It comes out very rarely, and mostly in his hunts against vermin and the like, but it definitely exists. He tends to funnel a lot of this ferocity into other tasks- for instance, if he becomes a rider, he would channel a LOT of that nastiness into fighting thread. It would become one of his very favorite activities.
He's brash and headstrong— he'll charge right into a bad situation, not realizing that it's bad. Sometimes he'll charge into it knowing it's bad, but going ahead anyway— and not for any cause, though sometimes that might be the subtext. No, anything stupid or risky he does, he does for the thrill. Because life is thrills, and the best way to experience it is to really get down and dirty with experiencing it.
Tequavi is prone to having violent moodswings; one moment, he can be insanely happy and cheery, and the next he can be seething and vengeful.
He's not all dark-underbelly, though— he can be surprisingly sweet, especially if he likes you. In fact, it's not so much a case that he's deliberately malicious against the rest of the world, as that he's simply incredibly self-centered, in an unintentional way. He doesn't actively think himself better then the rest of the world, or anything, but he is the only person he's really out to help. He likes himself best, so really, it doesn't MATTER to him if other people do or don't.
One thing's certain with him- whatever he does, it's going to be a trip. And actually, he might have some valuable insights, even if it's coming from a very strange perspective. He can be sweet, he ecan be affectionate, and he can even be persuaded to care for something besides himself. Maybe.
A good quality of his is a crazy persistence— if he gets it in his mind that he wants to do something, he's going to do it. It doesn't matter how hard people try to stand in his way, it's going to happen. That can be as much of a flaw as it is a strength; especially when he doesn't know what's good for him. He's got to learn the hard way, frequently— no amount of explanation will impress upon him that something's a bad idea.
All and all, he's a lot like Tequila: Harsh, but sometimes really good. Makes you do shit you weren't expecting and may not remember. Some people can't handle it. Pretty damn wild, and occasionally slightly psychedelic. Always some kind of trip, even if it's not necessarily a good one.
History
Weyrbrat, relatively lowranking parents, goal is to impress a dragon, other worthwhile goals be damned. I'll actually write this out when my boyfriend is not listening to things that make me want to strangle babies.

Dragon
Blue-yellow Mementoth
Mementoth is the kind of dragon people will do a double-take on. A cheery sky-blue dominates this dragon as the base color, but an interesting splash of yellow decorates his hide. The yellow covers his face like some kind of mask, and the rest almost looks like some kind of skin-tight suite. Mementoth is on the lanky side, but seems to be in perfect control of his body. The forked part of his tail seems particularily long, often twitching before he does something crazy or thrilling. He's an interestingly attractive dragon that will be sure to give his Rider one heck of an adventure.
