Template commissions/recolors

If you're interested in some of my templates, I do occasionally do recolor them. I also do unique pieces. I also will sometimes make templates for other people if they like.

Am I open?

It depends, to be honest. If you're interested, poke me and ask. I'll see. I'm usually open for commissions before I'm open for requests, but no promises for either.

Shaded, pencil-shaded, expiremental or flatcolor?

-Shaded things take a lot of time. I'm almost never open to do these from scratch. If it's a recolor, it will be more expensive.

-Pencil shaded, or some other real media shading, is a technique where I shade the hard copy before I scan it and then use that to make a template. It's less time then the above shading, so it's open more often, but it still may not be open all the time. Pencil shaded recolors will be more expensive then flats.

-Experimental stuff is new techniques. We'll see what happens with these.

-Flatcolor stuff is pretty fast, and thus cheaper.

-Sketches are just that, sketches. If you want to ink the sketch and color it yourself, tell me, because I limit those.

Public vs Private, for recolors.

Public lines are already available to anyone.
Private lines are usually only used by me, and I don't like distributing them. If you really want them, you can ask, though it might be more expensive.
Unmarked are usually in between, and while the lines can't be recolored by anybody, i'm usually willing to do recolors of them for people at request, time permitting. This may cost something.

Currencies

What I accept for payment, for new templates, commissions, and recolors-

- Most commonly, marks on game, if the game in question has a marks system.
- Sometimes I'll accept other game currencies.
- I'm fond of trading templates or recolors or designs for dragon designs and/or writeups.
- Will take USD.

Talk to me to make arrangements~

Template concerns: Gimp or photoshop?

Most of my templates I make for photoshop, since that's what I use. Photoshop treats masks differently, so it's important that I know what program I'm making the template for, so that it works properly. I'm not as familiar with gimp, so those may still work strangely.

This is also why I don't offer many public lines. I do soft-lining, which does not translate into public lines very nicely; it creates halos.

Template usage restrictions

If I make you a template, it's for whatever game I made the template for.

You may NOT use the template for multiple games without my permission.

You may NOT distribute it to other people. I don't really even like it distributed to other admins or people designing hatchlings without my explicit knowledge and permission, but it will be accepted in the case of admins.. Those admins may not distribute the template to anyone.

You MAY use the template personally on other games. :3 so if you want to show off one of your own dragons with that template on another game, that's fine, so long as you don't do images for other people for another game with that template.

I may use the template personally, in the same way, but I may not distribute it on other games or for profit, and I may not recolor it for other people without your explicit permission.

Recolor vs Template vs commissioned image

A recolor is an existing set of lines in my possession colored to represent/resemble a specific character/beastie of yours.

A template is a .psd file, usually a set of lines and possibly shading, which can be recolored and saved into individual files. I only do .psd files, though I will format them differently if you use gimp or photoshop. IF you need another program or another format, I'm sorry, but I can't help you.

Commissioned image is a single image. It's lines are unique.
