Raspberry Ripple Egg

Another pretty egg, this one is pink and white and has a sense of blissful ignorance. Its as if this egg is just happy to be in a world of its own. It isn't really taking any notice of anything around it and this isn't worrying it at all. I likes its own company.

The Cornish Vanilla Egg had begun to crack with much more vigor while its clutch-sister had made her way across the large table. A wink of gold could be seen through the hole growing in the side of the strange brown and cream shell. Its shaking tilted the egg to the side and into its much smaller neighbor, the Cookie Dough Egg, with a resounding thwack. Surprised squeaks and chirps could be heard from inside the second egg as the occupant, who had apparently not been ready to Hatch, began to break a crude hole in the side of the dotted shell.
Another thump from its neighbor sent the Cookie Dough Egg tumbling against another egg, the Raspberry Ripple Egg actually. This one had already begun the process of escaping its cage and the collision crumbled both eggs and a flailing of limbs began as the two fire-lizards attempted to extract themselves from each other. First to escape was a gorgeous Red, its limbs darkening to a burnt shade of red. It leaped into the air despite the fluids still drying on its wings and would have continued flying if a golden paw had not come soaring out of nowhere and knocked the errant Hatchling from its bumbling place in the air.
Kin scolded softly, her eyes quite displeased by the reckless behavior of her child. One's wings were not flight-worthy until after the egg-fluid had dried. Silly little Red. Refusing to be put down by the sudden lecture, the Red pranced its way towards the end of the table farthest away from the basket and its golden guardian. Wings flicked open and the fire-lizard once again took to the air, this time unhindered by the opinions of a mother. It's broad wings carried the Hatchling over the heads of the humans until she found a rather nice head to land on. It collapsed onto Teche's head and gurgled pleasantly. Wasn't he proud of it? So skilled and amazing, but right now it was time to eat!
