- Note that all sexualities are fluid or basically pansexual, due to ness's own sexual mindset. All characters are at base pansexual; they could go for anyone based on personality over gender. Some of them may lean, and have a gender preference. Some may be more bisexual. Bigenders, transgenders, and other genders may not be an issue on pern, so that aspect may not be an issue. Point: Personality over sexuality, which is why they will be listed as Pansexual with a potential lean.
Looks
Brown eyes stare out of a square face, which usually wears a very serious expression. He's not a small guy, by any means— 6' and muscular, he's on the upper side of average. His facial features are likewise square, though his lips are full and usually curled upwards in a smile, making him somewhat approachable.
Personality
Siur'n is both incredibly serious and approachable. His wide smile betrays the fact that he likes to have fun and keep good company, even if he looks somewhat intimidating and takes things very seriously.
Lessons of morality and duty were deeply ingrained in Siur'n's head, as he was growing up in the hold, by both his harper teachers and his parents, and he's still taken them to heart- everything he does he considers, for fear of hurting other people by accident. If he's torn, he'll probably err on the side of the greater good: his duty is to himself before his people; that's how he allowed himself to be searched at all. He absolutely hates hurting people, and has a very good sense of what's fair and what's not: it's hard to find a better friend to give advice.
He's a stable and steadfast rider; if there's anyone you can count on, it's him. He considers people putting trust in him to be one of the highest honors a human can give another human, and thus doesn't take things lightly— he'll keep secrets, and go to great lengths for his weyr and his friends. Bets were placed on him, at the hatching in which he Stood, that he would ride a brown— no one expected him to attract a Copper.
Not everything's serious with Siur'n, however- he likes to relax as much as anyone else, and would rather not bring his work home with him. He will if he needs to— duty before relaxing, after all— but all the same, he'd rather not. He likes keeping in the company of his friends— they're as comforting to him as he is to them, frequently. He likes having a drink or three at the end of the day, and he likes going to gathers and being social. He's very friendly and approachable, as the smile he wears all the time betrays.
Siur'n, before he got searched, entertained dreams of a large family and a stable relationship: despite the change in circumstances that prevents him from getting handfasted, he still seeks that sort of family dynamic, though parts of it are impossible: he will not have as big a hand in raising his own children, he knows, and any mate he acquired would have to be okay with the frequent indiscretions of flight sex— thankfully, the latter is more common in the weyr. He has his own problems with flght sex that occasionally lead him to be ill at ease— this boy is a romantic, and he doesn't like the idea of sex being.. just sex. It feels to him like he's using people, in that instance, even though it's a well accepted thing and it doesn't have that spin at all. Thus, he's at odds with himself mentally on the subject of romance in the weyr, and maintains some hope that he'll find some way of getting himself hte family he dreamed of prior to impression.
History
Siur'n was the eldest son of a relatively wealthy cotholder, set to inherit his father's estate. He was brought up with this expectation, and groomed for the job, with lessons of morality and duty ingrained in his head from an early age. His family was a supporter of the weyrs, though they had frequently expressed their unwillingness to have any of their sons searched— they were too useful to the life of the cothold.
That changed when the search ran in the main hold nearby Siur'n's cothold, and Siur'n happened to be visiting in order to trade, at the time of the searchdragon's arrival. Immediately, the blue lit on him- Siur'n would absolutely have to be a candidate! Initially turning the rider's offer down, it took some appealing towards Siur'n's sense of duty to Pern to get him to Stand: fruitful, because the candidate impressed as soon as the eggs cracked. Though he'd been bet on to ride a brown, it was a copper who made no qualms about choosing Siur'n— an exceptionally bright male, with a personality to match.
Despite the obvious differences, the two made it through weyrlinghood together and are now full riders, comfortable with each other despite Siur'n's slow adjustment to the conventions of weyrlife.

Copper M Dziath
Painfully bright and light of form, Dziath is sometimes mistaken for a female on first glance— something which never ceases to infuriate him. He's a very bright variety of copper— a base color of bright, orangey tones, fading quickly into a pink-toned copper which dominates his underbelly, his legs, and the very centers of his wings. Dark reddish copper dominates his feet, the tip of his muzzle and wing-spars, the last quarter of his tale, and covers the inner edge of the edge of his wings, giving up that ground only to a deeper orangy shade around the edges of the sails directly. A golden copper shade covers his ridges, fading gently into the orange along the rest of his back, crowning his head only slightly more then the rest of his dorsal line. This golden area is broken by freckled lines of that darker, reddish copper, breaking along his back, neck and wings.
