Sangre's Asinith

Weapon from another time Bronze Asinith

Asinith, despite the fact that he's a young dragon in his prime, looks like he's seen better days. His build is long, knobbly, as if he's a weapon whose time honed was centuries ago. The deepest shade of bronze on his hide is dark, as if stained by the dirt of time. It's broken by patches of an even darker bronze, almost-smoke tone, mottled across his hide. Offsetting this is a grayed shade of bronze, pale and stark. A lighter tone of the same shade sits on his shoulders and hindquarters, like a thick covering of ash.

Personality

Asinith was attracted to Sangre's strength and passion, on the sands, because it rivaled his own- albeit in a different direction.

Asinith is a very serious dragon. Life to him is not a game, and if it is, the stakes are very high. Though he means well and genuinely wants good things for his loved ones, this can occasionally result in him being something of a stick in the mud.

He's very much a protector, his eyes always on the future, looking for the next new danger. He's strong and brave, and believes he can face down anything— and he probably can. His confidence in himself is not misplaced. however, he rarely relaxes, and this can lead to him stressing himself out— Sangre has to keep her eyes out and make him relax, when she can. She's grown quite good at this.

Asinith can be as stubborn as his rider, and won't back down when things are not going his way. He will, however, think before he leaps, and he often tempers Sangre in her more wild decisions. He's an old-soul, and his knowledge is sharp and wise.

Very ambitious, Asinith wants to make the weyr a better place, and do great things. He wants to catch the senior gold someday, and help Sangre be weyrleader. He is also rather hidebound, and doesn't like the idea of boys standing to Impress dragons— he finds them, on a whole, distasteful.

Asinith can be cold and distant, but there is an emotional side to this dragon— it manifests distantly, in his loyalty and his willingness to watch over certain people. If Asinith has got your back, he likes you, even if he won't show it.

Mindvoice

Thick and dark, like malty beer, with a metallic aftertaste. It seems almost dusty at times.
