- Note that all sexualities are fluid or basically pansexual, due to ness's own sexual mindset. All characters are at base pansexual; they could go for anyone based on personality over gender. Some of them may lean, and have a gender preference. Some may be more bisexual. Bigenders, transgenders, and other genders may not be an issue on pern, so that aspect may not be an issue. Point: Personality over sexuality, which is why they will be listed as Pansexual with a potential lean.
Looks
Though she holds herself strait and gives the impression of strength, Sangre is only about 5'6" tall. She's an even tan, deeper due to dragonriding, and prone to freckling on her face and arms. Her eyes are a deep brown, and her hair is a bright, striking red.
Personality
Sangre is passionate, a creature of blood and fire.
Strong and bright, she's always had the ability to face her challenges dead on, attacking strait from the center. She refuses to be kept down, and refuses to take no for an answer. when she gets her mind on something, she doesn't back down.
Hot-blooded, her initial reaction isn't always the best one to trust. Her passion has a downside, and that's occasionally the fact that it blinds her— she'll leap before she thinks, strait into fire if she has to. This is usually only when she's provoked, however— which isn't hard to do. She'll get into shouting matches quite easily, and will defend her opinion tenaciously, even when she's effectively proven wrong.
For all that she's quick to anger, Sangre is also quick to forgive. Once she cools down, she can usually see when she's being a dick-head, or at the very least acknowledge that others have as much of a right to their opinion as she does. she may do this grudgingly, but the knowledge is there. She'll only hold a grudge if someone does something to cross her directly, or proves themselves untrustworthy or otherwise dangerous.
Brave and courageous, there isn't much that deters her. She was trained to be a guard, which- although Pern is usually quite peaceful— is still a military application. The courage was always there, and was honed further in her training— as was discipline. She takes jobs very seriously, and can be counted on to get things done, and do high-quality work.
Sangre is rather hidebound, her mind rooted firmly in tradition. This is both her own tradition— which may cross that of the regular society— and the tradition she's grown up with. Though she doesn't see too much wrong with disabled impressions— she's ambivalent about it, but not enough to be offended— the idea of males impressing offends her deeply, and she doesn't think they should be amongst the dragonriding ranks.
Though she can be frustratingly set in her ways, Sangre's passion has it's good sides, too— especially when turned to other people. She's deeply emotional, and she understands emotion in other people— giving her a point to empathize. When she likes you, she really likes you, and her love is even more passionate.
She can be quite affectionate, especially physically, and she enjoys sex as a token of friendship as much as a token of love. She adores her lovers, forming deep bonds with them when she can, and when a deep relationship breaks off, she's frequently left heartbroken. She's a romantic at heart, and wants to make things work with someone permanently.
Sangre can be given to rash decisions and reckless reactions. She's likely to follow her heart and her instincts in most situations, which can lead both to success and trouble. She's a quick-thinker, but occasionally these tendencies get her into messy circumstances.
History
Born to a family with deep ties to the guard, Sangre followed in their footsteps, starting early— before the standard age of 10. She progressed quickly, and never thought she'd seek any kind of life outside the guard.
Of course, things had a way of changing. Her little sister, who had never shown much promise in the guard, was searched and went off to the weyr early, standing at the age of 13 and impressing a green. Sangre was impressed, but had no mind to it until the green was old enough to come visiting. At that point, Sangre was informed in no uncertain terms that she would make an excellent candidate.
She turned down this offer; she wanted no place on such sands. Her place was with the guard: a tradition she'd been born into, and a tradition she very much intended to continue. She refused the search.
The next time her sister visited, she also refused the search. And again, and again, and again, and again, until finally she gave in. She was 18, and figured that she was old enough to be reaching the last bars of candidacy age. She doubted she'd impress, and once she was too old, her sister would leave off bugging her for it, and couldn't say that she never tried.
As luck would have it, she did impress on the sands- and to a bronze no less. Despite her initial misgivings, she adored her dragon, and they made a fast pair— she never looked back. She applied the discipline she learned at the guard to her dragonriding, and takes it as seriously.

Bronze M Dragon
Asinith, despite the fact that he's a young dragon in his prime, looks like he's seen better days. His build is long, knobbly, as if he's a weapon whose time honed was centuries ago. The deepest shade of bronze on his hide is dark, as if stained by the dirt of time. It's broken by patches of an even darker bronze, almost-smoke tone, mottled across his hide. Offsetting this is a grayed shade of bronze, pale and stark. A lighter tone of the same shade sits on his shoulders and hindquarters, like a thick covering of ash.
