  • Note that all sexualities are fluid or basically pansexual, due to ness's own sexual mindset. All characters are at base pansexual; they could go for anyone based on personality over gender. Kimba is a pale woman, and at 5'4" she is not particularly tall. Her skin is fair and creamy, and tends to burn easily. Her hair, by contrast, is stark black and thick. It falls to her shoulders, though she usually keeps it tied up in a pony-tail, for practicality's sake. She has bright grey eyes that are slightly too large for her face. Her features are all pointed and delicate, and she would look fragile but for her curvy frame, underneath which is muscle. She's usually smiling, but it's not a friendly expression, and doesn't look it. She always walks with confidence. There are scars on her arms, very faded, from old fights.

Kimba is a vivacious woman. She gives the impression that she's really, honestly enjoying life, no matter what comes at her.

Kimba is very strong-minded. When she sets a course of action for herself, it happens. It may not happen in the way she expects: frequently her intended course of action comes about through very strange and circuitous events— but in the end she gets what she wants. it's a subtle sense of control- she'll give a little in the beginning, but she'll come down hard when the time is right to get what she wants, like a snake who knows when to strike. She's stubborn, though you may not see it right away until you've stumbled to the wrong place and she puts every one of her walls up to get what she wants.

Needless to say, she's also the skilled manipulator. It's an almost intuitive knowledge of when to act, because she claims no control over many things. Her manipulation is a means to an end— it's not an overt act of control, and she doesn't pretend to be in control. She's not. She's just real damn good at reacting when she needs to.

She's also ambitious. She was hoping for a mythril, but the fact that loscy's blue doesn't mean anything bad for her. No, by contrast, it means she will never be used as a figure head. She wants subtle power— behind the scenes abilities to influence what she wants to influence.

Kimba's approachable. If you haven't got something she wants, she's quite harmless and even friendly. If you like to have fun, she's certainly a good friend— she enjoys dancing, and being around people. She's a social creature, and likes events where she gathers. She's not so interested in being there for people— she doesn't have a lot of time or energy for emotional bogs. She just enjoys playing. She lives for the moment. This isn't to imply that she's emotionally inept— she knows when people hurt, she just doesn't usually care. If you are close enough to her, she'll be there for you- but more likely, she's just going to laugh off your pain and tell you to distract yourself in drink and dance. It's what she does, after all.

She's not very good at finesse, either— or at least, she doesn't seem to be. In reality, when it suits her, she's very good at being subtle, both in action and in language.. but most of the time, you're going to get what she thinks, strait up. She sugarcoats very little. If you're wearing something horrible, she'll tell you. If you're acting like an idiot, she'll tell you. She'll also tell you when you're doing something to earn her approval, too, so it's not all bad.

It's not really expected, but Kimba has a subtle kind of affectionate sweetness to her. It really only expresses itself with Loscarth— his mind ills she soothes, with patience most wouldn't expect with her. She's almost maternal- and if someone trips those strings, they'll get the same treatment. She gently shields Loscarth, she acts as his filters, and she's there for him. Her gentleness is jaded, it comes from her world experiences, but it's there. Candidates she's searched get a lesser expression of this.

Kimba has seen the ills of the world and survived, so to speak. She lived on the streets, and she saw plenty of bad things. These have effected her, made her slightly jaded. She's given to being quiet, now, upon first meeting people. She quietly observes, and even when she's social, she's not really the loudest in the room. She enjoys ambient chaotic activity, but she herself moves with a strange sort of perpetual calm grace. She is not concerned. further, she;s confident in her abilities, and that translates into basically everything she does.

Her past has effected her in other ways, too. She's a realistic person, slightly pessimistic, who knows how the world works. She's very street-wise, and her fascination with people has made her watch society pointedly for most of her life. She can act decently, and if she needs to can act the part of several different societal sections. Need some information from the holdless? she can do that. Holders? She can decently emulate one of them. She knows how they act, and thus makes a decent strategist. She knows other aspects of street-wisdom too, but will only unveil them if she needs to.

She doesn't show or tell anyone anything about herself unless she needs to or it's revealed in her actions. She has this natural feline-like mystery to her, a subtle sense of power that has yet to be shown off. She wont; show anyone her hand until one of her cards becomes useful- to do so would give other people an unfair advantage.

Kimba is very sexual. This is somewhat unexpected, given her past, but she just really enjoys sex. There's rarely anything more behind it then enjoying the sensations— she's not really an emotional person, and thus sex will rarely be an emotional experience. She's not above using sex for a means to an end, either— but when it comes down to it, she just enjoys sex. She'll get upset if she hasn't gotten any for awhile, and she'll take people to bed for no other reason then her whims encouraged it.

Kimba is pointed. She knows what she wants and she goes after it. She's also charming; she tends to attract people to her, and she's good at keeping their attention.

Kimba is not a woman who is above being cruel. Though she doesn't like to do it, especially not publically— it looses one connections— she's not above it. She'll rarely backstab (sometimes she will), but she can get downright nasty. She can be vicious. She's more of a verbal warrior then a physical one- she can cut people hard with her tongue. She's decent with a knife, but her small size makes her less of a threat.

When it comes down to it, Kimba is wild. She's more predictable then her dragon, but that's not saying much, and she's mostly out for herself.

History

Kimba was born very low-ranked within Fort Hold. Her mother died in childbirth, leaving her in the hands of her very unfit father. Her father barely functioned, but managed to hold off doing anything truly catastrophic until Kimba was about 11 years old. At about that point, his habit for gambling took a bad turn, and he ended up loosing everything and leaving to escape the penalty for gambling on money you didn't have. That left Kimba alone to fend for herself.

She became holdless, and was ousted to Fort hold. nevertheless, she lingered on the edges of fort hold, living as most holdless did. It wasn't terribly long before she took up prostitution, because she needed to pay for food. she was 12.

She continued to survive in general poverty until she successfully solicited sex from a nearby bluerider. The rider was clearly interested in her, and after she had done him the service, his dragon voiced interest in her for an entirely different reason. She would make a great candidate. The bluerider made the offer, which Kimba happily accepted, resulting in awkwardness for everybody.

But it was good awkwardness, because in the end she managed to impress Loscrth at Fort Weyr, on the first hatching she stood.

Blue M Dragon
oscarth is a big blue, with striking colors (which will be shown on his reference). His build is strong and muscular- he is built more like a brown then an agile blue, with thick muscles. His frame would be long and wirey but for the muscles, and thus he has a distinct large-feline quality about him. Round, powerful features, big wings, and deep facial features make a dragon who looks constantly like he's brooding- and he usually is. For his size, he looses agility, and does not have the endurance a brown would be expected to have, as he is still well within the spectrum for what is normal for blue. His eyes always have a tinge of yellow in them, regardless of how he's feeling- this was thought to be genetic, but is not; just a factor of his strange personality.
