Liali's Veiath

Coal Veiath

Medium in size, but built thinly and appears sleek, if not feminine, when moving. Somewhat large, dark gray wings. It looks like if he was left longer in the egg he would have been a blue, since the front quarter of his body has been coated in a midnight sky shade. That same color fades into the light gray color on his back and legs, creating swirls similar to what mist may look like. Silver and black markings are found under his eyes, on his legs, and on the tips of his tail and headknobs.

Hatching Messages

There was simply too much commotion for the next egg to even think about hatching anytime soon.
For a little over a candlemark, it kept the weyrlings, dragons, and other various peoples waiting. At first, they all appeared to be content with their surrounding, expecting the next dragonet to continue the chain reaction and hatch. No - it couldn't be that way this time. He was nowhere near ready to leave his home, a current place that he would only get to see once in his lifetime. Yes, the security of his egg was too good of a thing to quickly pass up. The onlookers could wait for him to soak up as much nutrition as possible, no?

When he decided to wiggle, just to see if the crowd would react, people were either sitting on the edge of their seats or leaning forward in anxiety, worried that the clutch may be duds from then on out. Feh, how foolish were they! His mother was much more prestigious than that, no? She was the Senior Queen. No duds would happen upon this clutch. After his first shift came two, then three, and then another. Back and forth, to and fro, side to side - all different ways of saying how he planned on breaking through the barricade around him. However, when he did finally emerge, it was after a literal bounce into the air. After landing, the egg severed neatly in two.

From there he neatly slithered out of his shell, first poking a curious head out to view the world. My my, wasn't this a small group of candidates? Then again, many of his clutch had already Impressed. Oh well, it did not matter. He had nothing to worry about anyway. He sat there, content with his position, his navy head and neck fooling people into believing he was yet another blue. But, when he emerged from the halves, an oddity was revealed. The back half of his body was smoky gray! Was this a mutation? Should he have not hatched so early? Could he be defected? The baby tilted his head in shame at those who were stunned by him. Really, it was nothing too astounding. He rumbled in near laughter and let some goop slide from his hide as he made his way towards Avalith, steering towards the group nearest her.

Yes, he would be choosing a girl. Was that so hard to understand? The much elder Vulcanth was bonded to a female. It was, like his hide, hardly a thing to be ashamed of. Before he singled out His, the coal looked around, making sure all of the hatched babies - the gold and brown, who had not yet decided on theirs, did not need his guidance. No, they were simply waiting for the right moment. With a nod to himself, he gracefully stepped in front of his choice, humming sweetly and dipping his head.

LialiMineOwn, my friend. You are perfect, and so much like myself that I took no seconds thoughts when you first touched my shell that you would one day be mine. Do you accept me, Veiath, as yours? I hope so, for I'm very hungry and our bond will help soothe that. It nearly sounded like he was proposing, but the little hint of laughter at the end of his sentence said otherwise.

Personality

He's quite the dreamer, however, if given a task, he gets right to it. Veiath has a sort of all-knowing or intellectual air about him, and he seems to stare right through people. At times it can be a bit creepy, but he means no harm by it. He's extremely kind and especially loving, but when provoked, this little guy can be a spit-fire, hissing and tempting to bite whatever it is that riled him in the first place. He has no problem speaking his mind or speaking to other people.
Intuitive. Diplomatic. Patient. Waits for the right moment, graceful. poetic, humorous, romantic.

Mindvoice

His voice resonates through the mind like a soothing echo, truth and serenity lacing his words. It takes a while for the sound to fade, but once it does, it almost makes you want to hear more.
