Bruised In Experience Amethyst Joreth
Joreth looks like he's had a bit of a nasty tumble, with all of his dark markings. His hide is uniformly a creamy plum shade, broken only by the darker patches of deep purple, in spots along his sides. That color also dominates his right back leg, fading in along the thigh and reaching it's darkest point at his ankles, before fading away abruptly to leave his toes a creamy purple. He's long and streamlined, and small even for his color— he'll be lucky to reach 25'.

Personality
An odd pair, one might wonder where the logic in this pair is. They seem to be total contradictory opposites. Where Gestalt is withdrawn and unfriendly, Joreth is social and gregarious. Where Gestalt is subdued, Joreth is emotional. Where Gestalt will spend hours doing one thing, Joreth has trouble focusing.
Whatever Joreth is, he is that thing. Passionate, there is no in-between state, or slightly-anything. If Joreth is happy, he's absolutely ecstatic. If he's sad, he's crying and creeling and throwing a fit. If he's angry, he's a flaming ball of rage. The intensity of this dragon is only rivaled by his energy— he's either full of energy, to the point where he's shivering with the want to expend it, or he's exerted himself fully and he's gone asleep.
Outgoing and gregarious, he'll introduce himself to anyone, and will, for awhile, be friendly. Especially when meeting new people, he's pleasant and interested: people are still so shiny and new, then, and they haven't lost their luster to familiarity. In fact, it's pretty rare for people to loose their luster to him, due to a dragon's short memory. He's social and likes company, when he's in a good mood- he doesn't like to be alone. It makes him upset and angry and foul-tempered.
He's not always so friendly, however— his affect depends mostly on his moods, which are subject to change in a moment's notice. If he's happy, he's friendly and outgoing, but if he's in any sort of foul mood, he's the entirely other direction. He'll be ill-tempered and snappish, and pout for hours. He'll send acidic comments down to G'salt regularly, commenting unhappily about everyone around him: Oh, look at that green's hide. It's so dirty, like she's been flying all day. Honestly, doesn't she bathe?
He's always rather high-strung and judgmental: vain, Joreth wants to look good. Real good. He wants to be gleaming with oil and freshly bathed as much as possible, especially if they're going out where anyone can see them. This goes hand in hand with his judgments— appearance is important to him, and will frequently be the source of his comments. Not all of his judgments are cruel— though they frequently can be, even when he's in a good mood, as if he doesn't realize how hurtful they can be. If he's feeling good, he'll be more inclined to compliments. He also does posses something akin to tact: G'salt is the only one who will privy to most of the judgments- he doesn't broadcast them aloud.
Interestingly, Joreth's judgments seem to have some grounding in reality. Sort of. Occasionally. At least when it comes to determining what sort of person someone is, or anything to do with emotional spectrum, he's good at pinpointing, even if the things he says are excessive or skewered. This will make him a decent searchdragon, and it will lead to interesting little tidbits like this: Oh, G'salt, look at that girl. Those colors are so gaudy, they don't match at all- why does she wear them? But, I do think she'd be good for this clutch. Maybe we ought to search her.
An odd pair, that these two would work together seems impossible. And yet, their relationship is more then good: they adore each other. It's this mutual affection that forms the basis for their bond, as with most dragons, and they get along peaceably besides their differences. Joreth is a door to the extension of G'salt's psyche— G'salt wouldn't under any circumstances ordinarily think or do the things Joreth does- he is not social, he would have trouble motivating himself to leave the weyr sometimes. Joreth spurs him outwards, lets him experience new things, opens the world to him. Joreth is something he can cling onto and be safe with. At the same time, G'salt is a point of stability for Joreth, something he can count on for love and affection even when he's in the foulest of his foul tempers. He's a point of calmness. They intrigue each other, they don't really understand each other, but they do experience each other over the bond, and accept each other.[/i][/color]
