- Note that all sexualities are fluid or basically pansexual, due to ness's own sexual mindset. All characters are at base pansexual; they could go for anyone based on personality over gender. Some of them may lean, and have a gender preference. Some may be more bisexual. Bigenders, transgenders, and other genders may not be an issue on pern, so that aspect may not be an issue. Point: Personality over sexuality, which is why they will be listed as Pansexual with a potential lean.
Looks
About 6', Dj'ser is pretty even in height. His frame might be considered long, but it's padded with muscle; Dj'ser is a fit man, and though his natural tendencies are to build muscle more then fat, he does work to keep his fitness at top par. His skin is a deep bronze shade, and his eyes a bright hazel. Though he's concerned with keeping fit, he doesn't seem to have as much concern with his hair: his black hair is to his shoulders, and he lets it mat up, forming very messy, natural dreads.
For the duration of weyrlinghood, he has been informed that he must, unfortunately, cut his hair. So for weyrlinghood he keeps it short, but rest assured, once he's graduated, he will once more keep it to the length of his preference.
Personality
Dj'ser is an odd mix of calmness and drive.
He's very come-as-you-are. Judgment doesn't seem to be a concept he's very familiar with; he'll accept anybody as who and what they are. If you don't mesh with him very well, he won't hold it against you- he may avoid you, but that's as far as he'll go. He actually appreciates people being who they are over people pretending to be something they're not to fit in, better.
Very laid-back, he's also friendly: he can get along with almost anybody, and likes to. His social drive is pretty strong; he enjoys company and while he can be alone, he doesn't like to be. Phorth was a great boon to him for several reasons, including the fact that he now always has a friend with him.
Despite all this calmness, Dj'ser is very high energy. His fondness for fitness isn't just about looking good; he builds up a lot of energy he needs to spend somehow. If he doesn't get exercise or stays cooped up, he gets antsy, nervous, and neurotic: he wants to be doing things. As long as he gets a good way of expending that energy- running, for instance, in addition to all the work of weyrlinghood, he's fine.
Dj'ser is good with children and nervous animals: he's patient and understanding. At the same time he's forward and outgoing; in a party, once he's done socializing up his friends, he'll go out and talk to hte wallflowers, for instance, and try to get them to have a good time.
Very casual, he likes to have fun and have a good time- be that games, or generally hanging out. He likes parties, too: what better way to have fun with friends?
History
Djaikiser was the product of a not-so-illicit affair between a harper and a brownrider- it wasn't much of an affair, really, since his mother wasn't promised to anyone and had been assigned to the weyr, where casual sex was all the rave, but it's more interesting to explain it that way.
Otherwise, Dj'ser's early life isn't really interesting at all; he spent his early years at the weyr, staying there until he was about 7, at which point he and his mother went back to the local harper hall. Dj'ser showed promise in singing and language, and when he was 10, followed in his mum's footsteps to become a Harper.
Apprenticeship came fairly easily to him, but he wasn';t the sort to concentrate exclusively on his studies— though people all said he could go further and excel faster, he took his time, progressing at a leisurely pace. When he was searched, he was still in the middle of his apprenticeship, no closer to walking the tables then he had been a turn ago.
His search was rather casual- Dj had kept up his connections to the weyr, visiting his father occasionally and keeping up with his childhood friends. One of them had Impressed a green two turns ago, and the pair had dropped by the hall on business, and lingered for a visit. The conversation turned to hatchings, and the greenrider casually suggested he stand- a suggestion the green emphatically backed up. Dj'ser took that as an official search, got permission, and went to stand in the hatching— where he managed to impress Phorth.

Blue M Dragon
Phorth is a beautiful blue dragon. He is very effeminate dragon, right on the smallest size scale for a blue. But he is just lovely to look at. He has the most amazing markings on his body and wings, a deep shade of blue that makes him rather unique. He has wide wings, and is very agile, fast and loves to drift on the warmest air currents. This dragon is happier in the air than on the ground, always wanting to be flying.
